The GDG provides one on one career coaching and life mentoring to professionals and aspiring professionals in the corporate and business world. Also providing presentations and motivational speeches to groups/organizations.\n\nPrior to his retirement Art spent 30 years at TI. Art's last position was senior vice president and manager over Texas Instruments' (TI's) Analog Engineering Operations (AEO). Prior to the AEO role\, Art was the P&L manager for TI's High-Performance Analog (HPA) business unit\, which is a billion dollar+ revenue division of TI. Art led the acquisition of several companies for TI.\n\nHe is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge\, Louisiana\, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1983. In 2007\, he received the university's Outstanding Alumni Engineering Achievement Merit Award at the school's 50th anniversary. He also earned a master's degree in engineering management in 1990 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.\n\nArt has been honored at the Black Engineer of the Year Awards conference twice as one of the 100 Most Important Blacks in Technology. He has also received the Career Achievement in Industry Award from the National Society of Black Engineers.\n\nArt currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Nordson Corporation (NDSN) and Axcelis Corporation (ACLS)\, and Chair of the SMU Lyle School of Engineering Executive Board.
