Robertson is a Manager in the Office of Employer Initiatives at the Texas Workforce Commission. He and his team are responsible for connecting businesses with value-added workforce solutions. Currently\, Dale and his team are working with local businesses\, community colleges\, workforce development boards and economic development partners to develop customized training projects for the Skills Development Fund and Self Sufficiency Fund programs.\n\nMr. Robertson has over 20 years of experience in the workforce development industry. He began his career in 1988 working with local agencies that assisted job seekers with the development of the skills needed by businesses. In 1992 he accepted a position with the Texas Department of Commerce where he worked primarily with businesses experiencing economic conditions resulting in mass layoffs and plant closures. His responsibilities included coordinating efforts to ensure the businesses\, the employees\, the labor organizations\, and the communities had the resources to recover as rapidly as possible. In 1996\, Mr. Robertson transferred to the Texas Workforce Commission where he continues to work today on various workforce solutions projects. Since 2005 he has managed the Outreach and Project Development Team for the Skills Development Fund and Self-Sufficiency Fund programs.\n\nMr. Robertson is a 1987 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He is married and has four beautiful children.
