Travel South on Holford. Just after crossing the bridge\, turn right into the Preserve parking lot at 1787 Holford. If traveling on Shiloh Road\, take Arapaho Road east. Turn north on Holford Road. After the fire station\, turn left into the Preserve parking lot at 1787 Holford. Job: Clear the prairie at 1787 Holford of small trees and bushes that are encroaching on the meadows. Some people will fell the trees and cut bushes\; most people will drag the trees and brush off the prairie to the designated spot. Required clothing: Sturdy shoes with no open toes\; heavy work gloves Suggested clothing: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants. Reason: Some of the brush to be removed has thorns that are 1”-2” long. There are patches of poison ivy. There are fire-ant mounds. Tools: If you have them\, please bring small saws\, small chain saws\, loppers. Please do NOT purchase any tools specifically for this job. There will be plenty for everyone to do. Snack and light lunch provided!
