The warren center is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of trustees. The agency annually serves approximately 1000 children who need therapy to improve motor skills\, speech\, feeding\, cognition\, social skills and sensory difficulties including vision and hearing\, by designing a plan for each child’s needs. Since its inception in 1968\, the warren center has helped more than 10\,000 children and their families. The expanded organization will employ 70 therapists and professionals at two locations in Garland and Richardson. Funding for the non-profit comes from the Texas Early Childhood Intervention program\, Medicaid\, private insurance\, United Way\, and private donations. Children served through Early Childhood Intervention reside in a service area that extends north to the Collin County line\, west to the Dallas North Tollway\, south to Baylor Hospital\, and east to Rowlett and Wylie.
