The director's responsibilities include the following:

• Lead with passion for child development and team support, fostering a trusting, inclusive environment that builds strong connections with diverse families and staff.
• Foster a positive school culture that encourages collaboration, communication, and community.
• Maintain a positive, solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Oversee school operations and lead the full admissions process, including tours, follow-ups, and onboarding.
• Ensure the center meets all health, safety, and licensing standards and procedures.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of state licensing regulations and Kiddie Academy standards, ensuring the school adheres to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Support classroom operations, ensuring timely completion of reports, documentation, and parent communications.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-quality team through active sourcing, training, coaching, and engagement.
• Strengthen staff retention and family relationships through proactive communication and community engagement.
• Promote the Life Essentials curriculum while supporting enrollment growth through tours and family engagement.
• Develop and implement new marketing strategies to increase enrollments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience in a licensed childcare center
• In-depth knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing regulations for childcare centers and a great understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with families and drive enrollment growth
• Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrollment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults
• Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Kiddie Academy of Firewheel is conveniently located. Our academy offers programs from Infants to Pre-Kindergarten as well as After-School programs for Elementary School Students. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30AM until 6:00PM.
