Retail Sales Associate Job Summary
Displays excellent customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipments and operating copiers, fax machine, laminating machine, and point-of-sale system. Advise customers on our array of products and services, best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. The candidate must be a fast learner and make efforts to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest time possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquires
• Practices good listening skills with customers, team members and leadership
• Takes ownership of the customer’s shipping needs and offers viable solutions
• Takes action to learn all products and services offered, and alternative solutions
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Sort incoming mail and packages for mailbox and virtual-mail distribution, sort packages to prepare for courier pickup
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Retail/customer service experience
• Good communication and people skills, in-person and over the phone
•  Excellent packing skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Able to lift 40 + pounds
• Willing to work 20 to 30 hours per week for a 6-day work week. This position may require rotation shifts, weekends, and evenings.

Elite Postal Express may conduct a background check that will include a criminal background check and may include credit reports, and employment records.

• Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
• Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
• Shift:  4 hour shift
