The featured speaker will be Gen. (Ret) Robert Van Antwerp - distinguished leader and committed Christian. R.L. "Van" VanAntwerp LTG (Ret.) is the Chief of Infrastructure and Executive Development for the Flippen Group, a Texas based leadership and organizational development company that specializes in talent assessment, development and alignment. Van retired from the Army after 39 years of service and a final assignment as Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers -- responsible for over 37,000 employees who provided engineering, project management, construction, and operation and maintenance support in nearly 100 countries around the world.
Van became a Christian in 1977 in Hawaii and has served the Lord in church leadership positions, bible studies and life groups, and twelve years as the President of The Officers Christian Fellowship. He and his wife, Paula, speak at retreats and Christian conferences, and ministered to wounded warriors in Alaska with Samaritan's Purse this past summer. They reside in North Carolina and have five children and seven grandchildren.
Joel Allison, President and CEO of the Baylor Health Care System, will also address issues regarding medical care and the charitable clinic.
