As an Author, J.R. has partnered with Dr Stephen Covey and other authors to produce "Success Simplified" a Compilation of Success stories and tips for today's professional. J.R.'s section covers "The Big 5 of Social Media" and how to use them to improve your business.

As a speaker, J.R. is noted for "taking the mystery out of Social Media" and speaking in terms that "even a CEO can understand." He is best known for working with Company Leaders, Sales Professionals and Marketing Managers on how Social Media Networks can make a positive impact on their organization.

As a Consultant, J.R. works with business leaders to understand the shift in selling that is occurring as more consumers and businesses turn to the internet for information before engaging in the sales process. J.R. implements plans to increase sales results in this new sales environment.

J.R. began speaking publicly in 1994 and on social media in March of 2009. He holds an MBA from The University of Phoenix, Dallas Campus and a BBA from Texas A&M University.  J.R. is an ASA certified sailing instructor and avid reader, as well as a musician.

Married to Stacey Groom Atkins, J.R. has a son, Coleman, who is a junior at Centennial High School in Frisco, TX.
