Summary of Job
Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on our converting, printing, and extruding equipment, and various other ancillary equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Emphasis on Good analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical problems, repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, performing Preventive Maintenance on equipment, maintaining parts and supplies inventories. This position will be responsible for supporting the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
 

  • Emphasis on good safe work practices and familiarity with safety procedures.
  • Solid communication skills the ability to work well with others.
  • Good analytical skills set and a sense of urgency when it comes to completing work.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
  • Ability to solve mechanical problems, repair and replace faulty components or parts, install new machines and equipment, perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment, maintain parts and supplies inventories.
  • Perform reactionary maintenance (i.e., repair machines, equipment, etc., when required, as such goes down).
  • Preventive maintenance can carry out tasks and responsibilities associated with maintenance of equipment, building and grounds, etc.
  • Plan and carry out tasks and responsibilities associated with special projects on existing or new equipment or facilities.
  • Assumes responsibility for managing projects assigned.
  • Sources products and materials and obtains pricing for maintenance purchases.
  • Accountable for parts inventories relative to own needs and replenishing.
  • Perform most types of tool & die and fixture jobs.
  • Miscellaneous duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Works well within a small team to solve collective problems.
  • Proactively reaches out across departments to collaborate.
  • Encourages teamwork with all department and/or facility members.
  • Communicates well with fellow department and/or facility members.
  • Accept training readily, quickly understand new concepts.
  • Shows willingness to offer training to fellow department members.
  • Performs a task with limited supervision and may require that you provide guidance to fellow employees.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on a team to achieve departmental results.
 
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications  
Physical Environmental Demands:
This position requires the following on-the-job time performing physical activities:
  • Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to reach and lift to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to endure elevated temperature levels. 
 
Position Type
 
  • Full time.
  • Shift work: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 2,2,3 rotating schedule.
  • Overtime expected per business demand.
